Q. Until what time can we order and have guards shipped same day, or what is the cut off time?
A. If we receive your order by 2:00 pm (CST) from Mondays through Saturday, they will be shipped same day. Order that are received later then 2:00 pm are shipped next day.

A. Yes, USPS Text Tracking is a mechanism by which customers can be notified of the status of their package. Standard Message and Data Rates may apply.
There are now several ways that customers can request Text Tracking:
1. When placing Your order request and provide your number and we add tracking.
2. If package has left our facility, in that case. From your phone.
Send a text to 28777 (2USPS) with your tracking number as the content of the message. The text reply from USPS will be the latest tracking information for the item.

 

Q. Do you ship International? What are the options?
A. We can ship to almost anywhere in the world! Available international shipping options are United States Postal Service (USPS) or DHL. USPS shipping will be per the flat rate option. This is $47.00 (rates may change) and can take 6-8 days to reach your country. From here your country postal service will deliver your package and can add additional delivery time. Usually USPS tracking ends once the package reaches your country. Our second shipping option using DHL. This is considered a premium option and is very fast. Customer service with DHL is the best in the shipping business. Typically DHL only takes 2-4 days to deliver to most locations throughout the world. DHL international shipping always comes with tracking. While this is a more expensive option it is much better than USPS. We will not reimburse you for the lost, damaged, or stolen items. Q. Do you carry guards for GASKET FIT MIRRORS?
A. Sorry, our guards do not fit over gasket fit mirrors.

 

Q. Does guard FIT “FIT OVER MIRRORS”?
A. Depending on the housing and padding provided, may or may not fit, If it did fit you may have to sacrifice the looks of it.

 

Q. I can not find my car mirror guards for my car? Can you make them, how much they would cost and time we have in our hands?
A. New Guard design process takes 2-4 weeks normally, but in come cases may take longer, we keep in touch with customers and keep them informed.

Q. How does New/Custom Design in Progress work? Can I pay half now and remaining at the time of shipping, how would you charge remaining balance?
A. Custom design in progress is a process where guards are designed from scratch and may take up-to 3-4 weeks before they can be shipped to you. The day we ship you we will charge remaining balance to your same credit card you earlier paid with.

 

Q. I would not be home to receive package, can I leave a message for carrier to leave package to neighbor?
A. Yes, you may write a note for the carrier while checking out on our site or email immediately.

Q. Guard does not fit?
A. First thing! Do not panic. Send us picture of guard and your car side mirror-housing picture. And tell us what year is your Car/Truck/SUV. We will reply you back immediately and resolve the issue.

 

Q. Guard shape is same as my car mirror housing but I cannot make it fit?
A. The guards are made intentionally to fit tight inside mirror housing so there is enough room for mirror movement. In this case we suggest you consult with fitting specialists.

 

Q. How difficult is it to fit anti theft guards?
A. You can do it yourself; if you are not technically savvy we suggest you get it done professionally at a car repair shop, car stereo, body shop or ask us if we can refer you a fitting specialist in your area.


Q. I am unable to pay all at once. Do you have a payment plan?
A. Yes, we can divide payment into two, pay half down and remaining when we ship. If you need to divide payment equally into three parts, CSR@AutoMirrorGuard.com  and we will find a solution.

A. Guard is made with Carbon Steel, powder coated and fits with screws, and comes with a DIY fitting guide.


Q. Does the guard works as rain guard, or protect from rain?
A. Technically guard was invented to protect mirror from theft. There is no research done if guard does so.

 

Q. Guard I want is out but showing “Available on backorder”, what does this mean? How many days before I can get it delivered?
A. Guard you are ordering is sold out or is in backorder, and may take 25 to 30 working days to be delivered to you from the time we receive your order.

 

Q. What carrier do you use for shipping, and how many days I would get my Ready-made guard?
A. We ship via USPS, available are USPS Priority Mail may takes 2-3 days, USPS Priority Express 2 days, for Canada, Mexico and South America, please contact us prior to ordering.

 

Q. Can I order Express or overnight shipping, if so, what are the charges?

A. Ready-made guards are listed on home page, these have been in use for sometime, and are available for more than 800 models. You can search by model you are looking for.

 

Q. What is custom guard order?
A. Custom guard order is placed only when you cannot find guard for your model, all guards have to be custom made for the first time, and that is why it costs extra in addition to regular price. Once guards are designed they are then added to ready-made list.

 

Q. Does this change the look of my mirror?
A. Guard is made of mild steel, powder coated in black finish.

 

Q. By fitting anti theft guards would my car loose its resale value?
A. Actually if your car retains original mirror at the time of sale your car has more value than the one fitted with after market mirror.

 

Q. Why do I need to install the anti theft mirror guard in my car?
A. Experts will tell you that if you don’t want your car’s side mirrors to be stolen or burglarized, you’ll want some visible layer of protection to discourage a thief.

 

Q. Will the anti theft mirror guard fit in my car / truck?
A. Please check the theft protection guards listed on home page to see if your car/truck matches with your model/trim/year/shape of mirror housing, if dought send us picture and we will confirm.

 

Q. I have Blind Spot Mirror, how do I go about fitting guard?
A. If your blind spot mirror is not in the way you may proceed to fit guards, if so, remove them and fit guards. After fitting you can now place blind spot mirrors.

 

Q. My car has an auto folding mirror housing, would that be an issue?
A. Most cars, trucks and SUVs are designed to keep ample space between housing and window glass; you should check the clearance before fitting guard.

 

Q. I do not see my car/truck model on your site. What should I do?
A. It is likely that guard is not yet been custom designed. Send us pictures of side view mirror housing of your car/truck and year manufactured with Vin#.

 

Q. I want to place custom order, can you provide quote and time period it will take?
A. Please provide make/model/year, a picture of car door mirror housing and a Vin#, we will quote within 24-48 hours. Please note custom design order may takes 30-40 working days from the date we receive your order, in some cases earlier.


Q. I found a part missing in my package. What should I do?

A. Do not return the package. Contact us and we will send you the missing parts at no extra cost.

 

Q. Is it possible to provide rivets to secure them?
A. We do not provide or suggest, rivets, to avoid damage to your car/truck mirror housing.

 

Q. Is it possible to super glue guards to housing?
A. We do not suggest the use of super glue, glue would cause hardening of housing surface and would stick forever, and could cause damage to housing and also reduce resale value of your car/truck.

 

Q. Screws provided with guards are they temper proof screws?
A. We only provide powder coated stainless steel screws for installing the guards. We do not recommend using tamper proof screws as incorrect positioning of screws can hamper normal mirror movement and it becomes difficult to reinstall the guard again without damaging the housing.

A. We take returns with 30 days from the date of purchase in its original condition, customer pays for return shipping, and however there are restocking fees in certain conditions, please read below:

Q. What precaution I should take to send guards back?
A. We provide unpaid return address label, you may use the box and packaging or get a new box from USPS for free, and please do email us Track#.
When returning guards back make sure you do not leave loose screws with guards as they do scratch the coding and cause damage and you may be charged 50% of the price.** 

Q. What is VIN Number, and where can I find it?
A. A vehicle identification number, commonly abbreviated to VIN, or chassis number, is a unique code including a serial number, used by the automotive industry to identify individual motor vehicle.
You can locate your vehicle identification number in a few different places, both off and on your vehicle itself.
Off the Vehicle, If you need to find your VIN, you can first check any documentation you have for the vehicle, such as:
Vehicle title, Registration card, Insurance documents, Owner’s manual, Body shop repair records, Police reports, Vehicle history report.
If you don’t have the documentation mentioned above, you can find the VIN on the actual vehicle itself.
On the Vehicle, The VIN can often be found on the lower-left corner of the dashboard, in front of the steering wheel. You can read the number by looking through the windshield. The VIN may also appear in a number of other locations:
Front of the engine block. This should be easy to spot by popping open the hood, and looking at the front of the engine.
Front of the car frame, near the container that holds windshield washer fluid.
Rear wheel well. Try looking up, directly above the tire.
Inside the driver-side doorjamb. Open the door, and look underneath where the side-view mirror would be located if the door was shut.
Driver-side doorpost. Open the door, and look near the spot where the door latches, not too far from the seatbelt return.
Underneath the spare tire.
